It's common to have a dust of snow on the ground during the autumn here in Logan. This makes for a contrast of colors as many of the trees still hold leaves. But a little bit of snow doesn't stop the Aggies from enjoying all there is to do on and around campus! From big name comedians to college night at many local restaurants, there is plenty to do.

Film: Maria Full of Grace (Spanish title: María llena eres de gracia, lit.
"Maria, you are full of grace") is a 2004 joint Colombian-American
film, written and directed by Joshua Marston, who won the Independent Spirit
Award for Best First Screenplay. Although the movie depicts rural life in
Colombia, it was actually filmed in Ecuador. The title is a triple-entendre: a
reference to Mary, the Roman Catholic figure; "grace" is a slang name
for heroin; and "grace" could also be the name of the baby.

Going Places Exhibit

Brigham
City Museum: 24 North 300 West, Brigham City, UT 84302
Carriages
— not cars — once ruled the road. These forerunners of automobiles and trucks
were absolutely essential to American life in the 1800s. Carriages came in an
amazing assortment of sizes, shapes, and finishes, from the buckboard phaeton
to the sidebar buggy to the booby hut.
Some of the forerunners of the automobile can be seen in the national traveling exhibition Going Places at the Brigham City Museum-Gallery Nov. 10 through Jan. 7, including Nov. 25, the day after Thanksgiving. Going Places explores the culture, evolution, and eventual demise of horse-drawn transportation, from the early nineteenth century, through the industrial revolution, and into the 1900s and the dawn of the automobile age.
The museum is located in the lower level of the Brigham City Community Center at 24 North 300 West. The entrance is on the west side. Hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday. Admission is free. For further information, please phone (435) 226-1439 or visit www.brighamcitymuseum.org.
The exhibition was funded by the Utah Humanities Council, the National Endowment for the Humanities, and the Mid-America Arts Alliance. The Utah Humanities Council (UHC) enriches our cultural, intellectual, and civic life by providing opportunities for all Utahns to explore life's most engaging questions and the wonders of the human experience.
